Zedan Racing Stable, Inc. secured what would be one of the top three colts during Wednesday’s session of the OBS March 2-year-olds sale with a winning bid of $850 for hip No. 440.
Consigned by Global Thoroughbreds LLC, Agent I, the bay colt had breezed an eighth-mile in 10 seconds flat during the Under Tack show.
The colt is by Tiz the Law, winner of the Belmont S. (G1), Travers (G1) and Florida Derby (G1) at three, as well as the Champagne S. (G1) at two. Tiz the Law is currently the leading sire on the Third-Crop sire list.
The colt’s dam is the Uncle Mo mare That’s Her M. O., and comes from a family that includes Grade 1 winners Tiller and Endear, the latter the dam of two-time Breeders’ Cup Mile (G1) winner Lure.
