In just her second start coming off of a “TDN Rising Star” debut, Princess Noor is now a Grade 1 winner after besting her juvenile peers in the Del Mar Debutante (G1).
The daughter of Not This Time stalked outside and then bid three deep under jockey Victor Espinoza. She took the lead past the 5/16th pole and drew off in the stretch in hand to win by over six lengths.
“We knew going in she was a special filly,” said Baffert reported the TDN. “She showed so much brilliance at the sale, that’s why she cost so much, and we got what we expected to see today. “
“She’s a little green. Only her second time [to race],” added winning rider Victor Espinoza. “I really don’t know how good she is, because I haven’t let her run yet. It’s nice to be back at Del Mar and riding good horses.”
