A purchase at this year’s Fasig-Tipton Midlantic 2YO’s in Training Sale, Zedan Racing stretched to $3,550,000 to secure a Bernardini colt who breezed an impressive 9.4 at the under tack shot on dirt.
The colt by Bernardini, now named Hejazi, is out of a juvenile-winning Medaglia d’Oro mare. This colt is from the family of Grade 1 winners Friends Lake and Antespend. His second-dam is the G2-winning Seeking the Ante, herself the granddam of this year’s Rebel (G2) winner Un Ojo.
Additionally, at OBS June Zedan Racing picked up a filly by Flatter for $625,000, who also breezed 9.4 at her respective under tack show.
Out of the mare Wicked Ride, this filly is by the ever-consistent sire Flatter –– sire of Grade 1-winning fillies Taris and Search Results. Bred on the same Flatter / Candy Ride (ARG) cross as the latter, Search Results, her dam is a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Wickedly Perfect.
